Was 9/11 predetermined?
Was 9/11 predetermined? Comics from the 1970s until 1990s seem to anticipate the occurrences yet to happen, known as 9/11. The world of popular culture and our reality start to become blurred. John Cage, one of the most influential spokesmen of Pop Art, wrote as early as 1961 how Pop erases the boundary between everyday reality and art. From this transgression of boundaries originates the work M-Maybe (1985, 1982, 1976, 1997, 1983, 1990, 1986): comic spreads picturing the demolition of the World Trade Center in New York confront us with surprising prophecies.
