EXHIBITION SYNOPSIS
About Sachiko Kodama Solo ExhibitionSachiko Kodama was born in Japan in 1970. She spent a lot of time in the southernmost part of Japan when she was a kid, the natural environment there inspired her a lot. She always loved art and literature, and had a strong interest in science. She completed her Master and Doctoral Program in Art and Design at the University of Tsukuba. In 2000, she started working on a ferrofluid art project named "Protrude, Flow" , the dynamic movement of the fluid reflects the simplicity of beauty. Her works have been exhibited in many international art festivals and prominent venues, e.g. Arts Electronica in Linz, The National Art Center in Tokyo and Wener Centre for the Arts in Columbus etc.
I/O proudly presents this solo showcase of Sachiko Kodama, from her video art to her morpho tower, showing us how she has taken the idea of liquid architecture literally with her stunning and evolving sculpture made from Ferrofluid.
