EXHIBITION SYNOPSIS
To Change Life and Lead ConsumptionToday's China is experiencing rapid economic growth and dramatic social transformation, which has led to great spiritual needs and swift changes of lifestyle. Since the new century, contemporary art and creative culture has already become the mainstream of social and cultural construction in China. While the lack and deficiency of aesthetic qualities of the mass, is still bottlenecking the self-construction and self-renewal of contemporary culture. Living in a consumer society, people is constantly pursuing higher living standards and spiritual quality. This leads to the ever-changing reality of Chinese people’s home conditions. The concept of artistic living and fashion living is gaining popularity, and has become a manifestation of the spirit of the time. At the moment, ordinary, non-personalized design elements have been far from meeting the taste of the mass and even the avant-garde.
In fact, artist's creation is also an alternative way to lead changes in the lifestyle. The crossover, interwoven and intertwined design of art and fashion is becoming a pop culture trend. As a result, artists begin to view the creation and production of artistic derivatives as their active shaping and interaction with the society and the culture.
